What inspired you to start Youtube?

I had already been a pin up model for a lot of years and had a good following on myspace and gals were always asking me how I did my pin up style hair and makeup. So I thought it would just be a helpful place to send people that asked. I thought it would be cool if I could get a few hundred followers over there. I never thought it was going to be a “thing”!

How do you stay motivated in such a tumultuous industry?

Honestly, it’s hard! I really just try to keep to myself. Stay out of the drama… and I don’t really follow trends or what other people are doing. I just make content that is true to who I am and hope that people like it.

How did you develop your unique sense of style? Mixing Vintage style with LA street wear & punk rock edges.

Who knows! I just wear what I think is cute. It doesn’t always work… but at least I’m always me! I never really have one style… I’m inspired by so many things so I feel like I just keep evolving instead of fitting into a box.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

To take risks and no matter what, the universe will always catch you. It might not always be in the way you expect, but you’ll still be on the path you’re meant to be.

3 top tips for staying grounded.

Listen to your old friends and family! If they tell you that you are being an asshole, you probably are.

Don’t take yourself too seriously. Trying to be “cool” is embarrassing.

Don’t put too much weight in the nice comments. They are SO nice to read… but if you start to believe all of the nice things people say, you can get a way overinflated ego.

What is your proudest achievement to date?

I have so many! I’m incredibly proud of being able to travel the world by myself full-time for 6 years. Proud of writing a book (and working on my second one!). I am proud to have inspired anyone that I have. I really love what I do.
